Abstract

In September 2020, there was deflation of 0.12 percent in Sumenep, East Java with deflation of 0.15 percent and national deflation of 0.05 percent.

eleven groups of expenditures, there are three groups that experienced a price decline, five groups experienced an increase in price, and three groups experienced a price decrease. Three expenditure groups that experienced a decrease in prices, namely: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 0.42 percent, the information, communication and financial services group by 0.36 percent, and the personal care and other services group by 0.24 percent. While the groups that experienced an increase in prices were the Health group by 0.62 percent, the Education group by 0.50 percent, the transportation group by 0.18 percent, the equipment, equipment and household routine maintenance group by 0.07 percent, and the food supply group. and beverages / restaurants by 0.06 percent. The housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups, the clothing and footwear group, and the recreation, sports and cultural groups were relatively stable.

The main commodities that contributed the most to deflation were eggs, rice and shallots. Meanwhile, the main commodities that gave the biggest contribution to inflation in Sumenep were garlic, cucumber and shrimp

The inflation rate for the calendar year January to September 2020 was 0.89 percent higher than East Java's 0.74 percent. Meanwhile, the national level is 0.89 percent the same as for Sumenep RegencyThe year-on-year inflation rate (September 2020 compared to September 2019) in Sumenep reached 1.88 percent, higher than East Java at 1.30 percent and National at 1.42 percent
