Abstract

In April 2025, Sumenep experienced year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation of 1,53 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 111,40.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices indicated by an increase in most expenditure group indices, namely: clothing and footwear group by 0,77 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1,76 percent; household equipment, tools and routine maintenance group by 0,45 percent; health group by 0,11 percent; transportation group by 1,07 percent; recreation, sports, and culture group by 1,41 percent; education group by 1,70 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 1,65 percent; and personal care and other services group by 13,67 percent. The groups that experienced a decline were: food, beverage and tobacco group down by 0,81 percent; and the information, communication, and financial services group fell by 0,24 percent.
The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate was 0,72 percent and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate was 1.54 percent.
