Release of 2020 Population Census Data and 2020 Population Data

The 2020 population census which was carried out integrated with the Ministry of Home Affairs experienced challenges as well as valuable lessons for future improvement due to the uncertainty situation of the Covid 19 pandemic.

BPS of Sumenep Regency together with the Regional Government of Sumenep Regency followed the online release in the Arya Wiraraja Room of the Sumenep Regency Government. The Central Bureau of Statistics releases the total population according to de facto and de jure status, population composition by sex and population distribution by district / city.

BPS and the Ministry of Home Affairs are committed to continuing to work together to improve Indonesia's population data. It is hoped that the results of the release can complement each other so that data users get complete information about population data which is very important for planning in various fields.

Thank you to residents who have actively participated in the Online Population Census and residents who are willing to accept the arrival of officers and provide their data in September 2020.
